Padma Lakshmi, Partner of Theodore J. Forstmann

Theodore J. Forstmann was an attorney and one of the founding partners of a private equity firm, Forstmann Little & Company. He also served as CEO and chairman of the famous global sports and media company IMG. Under his leadership, his firm made 31 acquisitions and returned over $15 billion worth of profits to investors. In addition to IMG, some of the firm’s lucrative ventures include Dr. Pepper, Community Health Systems, Yankee Candle, Citadel Broadcasting, and 24 Hour Fitness. Sadly, Theodore passed away in 2011 due to cancer.

He left behind his partner of 2 years, Padma Lakshmi. Theodore also had two adopted boys, Everest and Siya. Padma is a popular host of the cooking competition show Top Chef. For her work in the show, she received a Primetime Emmy nomination. She has also published a memoir and three cookbooks.
