After getting her degree in college, Mackenzie Bezos moved to New York, where she got a job at a hedge fund company as an administrative assistant. This is where he met her fellow Princeton alum, Jeff Bezos. He was the company’s Senior Vice President at the time. Eventually, she moved up the corporate ladder and became a research associate directly reporting to Jeff. They dated a few months before becoming engaged. In 1993, they married less than a year after.
