Jane Fonda, Ex-wife of Ted Turner

Every story has to start somewhere. For Ted Turner, it began when he inherited his father’s business. From that point onward, he has since made investments in several endeavors, including the founding of CNN and WTBS. Other notable efforts are his Ted’s Montana Grill restaurant chain, the Captain Planet and the Planeteers animated series, and his generous $1 billion donation to the United Nations.

From 1991 to 2001, Turner was married to the highly-regarded actress Jane Fonda. After starting her career performing on stage plays, Jane transitioned to more on-screen roles, beginning with the film Tall Story. Since then, she has worked on other projects like Period of Adjustment, Sunday in New York, Coming Home, and more recent titles such as The Butler, Book Club, and Grace and Frankie. For all her work, it comes as no surprise that Jane is also a proud owner of numerous awards, including a Cecil B. DeMille Award and an AFI Life Achievement Award.
