TAYLOR HACKFORD, HUSBAND OF HELEN MIRREN

Helen Mirren is married to an equally successful guy, Taylor Hackford. Known for being a famed director and the former president of the Directors Guild of America, the 76-year-old filmmaker was behind a number of highly-regarded feature films.

As a director and an actress, you probably know how this couple met. Their first meeting happened on the set of the movie White Nights, which Hackford was directing at the time. Instead of the event being memorable because of a sweet introduction, it turned to be an unfortunate event. Hackford kept Mirren waiting to audition for the said film, making her “icy.” The director himself admitted it was a strange way to meet his now-wife back then, knowing she’s a lovely person, but she didn’t hold back the degree of her anger. More than a decade after the film, Mirren and Hackford tied the knot in 1997.
