Andrew Upton, Husband Of Cate Blanchett
Often considered one of the best actresses of her generation, Cate Blanchett has since gained widespread recognition for her performance in big-budget and independent films. Her first gigs in the business were for stage productions like Oleanna, Hamlet, and Electra. Soon after, Cate’s fame rose to greater height when she landed an acting credit for the titular lead in 1998’s Elizabeth. Since then, she has starred in other projects like The Aviator, The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogies, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, and Thor: Ragnarok.
In 1997, Cate married Andrew Upton, a playwright, director, and screenwriter. Through the years, Andrew has worked on plays like Hedda Gabler, Don Juan, Uncle Vanya, and The Maids. Around that time, he and Cate also started their own production company, Dirty Films, through which they made the 1999 short film, Bangers, and the 2006 feature film, Little Fish. Outside their careers, the couple is also a pair of loving parents to their four kids.
