Susan Downey, Wife Of Robert Downey Jr.

After some time away from the spotlight, Robert Downey Jr. has since returned to the film industry stronger than ever. This comeback happened in 2008 with his acting credit as the now-iconic superhero Tony Stark in Iron Man, which became the starting point for the beastly Marvel Cinematic Universe. Since then, he has starred in other projects like Tropic Thunder, The Soloist, and his Golden Globe-winning performance as the titular lead in the Sherlock Holmes movies.

Robert’s wife, Susan Downey, also works in the industry as a producer. She realized her interest in pursuing work in the film industry when she was 12 years old. Soon after, Susan graduated from the University of Southern California, School of Arts. Since then, she has had the chance to work for Threshold Entertainment and Silver Pictures, where she helped produce Sherlock Holmes. By 2010, the couple founded their very own production company, appropriately called Team Downey.
